The corporate market of information, communication, and technology (ICT) in Indonesia is predicted to reach USD 3.86 billion in 2019; meanwhile, the national gross domestic products (GDP) is predicted to reach USD 3.1 trillion by the year 2025. These figures include the CAGR (compounded annual growth rate) of about 18.6%, compared to the market value in 2013 that was only about USD 1.41 billion.
If compared to the track record in 2017, the IT sector grew by 8.99% in QIV/2017 or increasing from 8.87% in the same period of 2016. Meanwhile for QI/2018, PT. Visi Globalindo Data Utama predicts that the IT sector will grow by 9.62%, higher if compared to 9.13% growth in the same period of 2017.
It is a fact that the advancement of technology, mainly smartphone technology has created business opportunities and changed the behaviors of business actors in Indonesia. It indicates that the existence of many IT companies, particularly the starter-up companies, has mainly contributed to the development of IT industry, particularly for the media industry in Indonesia.
