PT. Visi Globalindo Data Utama predicts that land-transportation sector in Indonesia will grow by 7.22% in QII/2018, or higher if compared to QI/2018 when it only grew by 7.19%. Yet, if compared to QII/2017, when the land transportation sector grew by 8.33%, the increasing percentage is dropping significantly.

The increasing performance of land-transportation sector in QII/2018 is related to the government’s programs to improve the national land and sea transportation facilities and infrastructure. The realization of some airport projects, the improvement of slot system and operational services for land and air transportation sector bring more options of good transportation facilities for the people, and not focusing only on the land-transportation facilities.

Although it is predicted to grow lower than in the same period of 2017, in overall, the transportation sector is still largely potential to grow in the future. The land-transportation sector itself also remains largely potential, along with the realization of many infrastructure projects in the country.

In addition, the specific characteristic of the market is also an important role in success. As we learn, the Fasting Month of Ramadhan and Iedul Mubarak in the second quarter of 2018 became one of the largest contributing factors for the increasing demand for the land-transportation services, if compared to the demand in the previous quarter.
